This May, we will be doing some exercises for our core and upper spine. We will mobilise the upper back first so that it feels less stiff. Once it starts to loosen up we can start strengthening the muscles around our core, to help with its stability and keep ourselves injury free!

Let's start off with Thread the Needle - this is a great way to improve movement or loosen your thoracic spine and upper back to prepare you for the next exercise.

Once you feel loosened up, we can move on to Bird Dog - this exercise can strengthen your core muscles, specifically your obliques, rectus and transverse abdominis.
